His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 22:22

This morning’s verse talks about faithfulness. 

Are we faithful to the Lord? Our marriage on this earth represents our relationship with the Lord. For husbands, they are to love their wives as their own body as Christ loved the Church giving Himself up for the Body of Christ. He is expecting our total and complete devotion to Him as He is to His Body. What is keeping us from this attitude of focus? He is even making it easier and effortless for the husbands to love their own bodies because they are theirs, their wives. (Ref Ephesians 5:22-33, 1 John 4:19)  

Today, let us assess what is keeping us from fully and effortlessly surrendering to the Lord.
