This morning’s verse talks about being the light of the world. (See Matthew 5:14-16)

If we are to shine as lights in the world, we can leverage the gift only if we are in the darkness. If we stayed as lights in the Church, our identities as lights cannot be used.

Our Godly boundaries need to be in place to stay away from evil but we need to position ourselves in darkness where Christ is needed because that is how the world can recognize us. We may not be perfect in our mind which produces ungodly behaviours but our spirit which initiates the change is perfect. (See John 4:24, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Romans 12:1-2)

Today, let us remember that we are the light of the world as believers with an assignment to step into the world to reflect the light of Christ.

May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
