His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 24:10-13

This morning’s verses talk about mercy.

Do we need mercy? We are not perfect beings, so there will certainly be times when mercy is needed. How do we accumulate the credit of mercy with others? By taking the initiative to show mercy towards others. (See Luke 6:36-38)

If we see the life of Christ, we can see His Spirit of mercy revealed throughout His time on this earth.  Jesus died on the cross while humanity was yet sinners. His expectation towards humanity at creation was to stay righteous, but because of the sin of Adam and Eve, He was compelled to die on the cross. (See Romans 5)

Today, let us choose to act in the spirit of His mercy. The spirit of mercy leads us to experience peace with people.
