His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 26:12-15

This morning’s verses talk about generosity and His blessings.

God wants us to go beyond the tithe, 10% of our income, to give to the Lord. He shall bless us and the land in which we live. 

The life we live on this earth is a continuation of endurance. We will then see the Lord face-to-face. (See James 1:2-4) Consistent giving may not always be easy, but it is not about our emotions but the choices we make about our possessions. As He promised in the verses for today, we can trust Him that He would bless us and the land we live in. 

Today, let us challenge ourselves with financial giving. We can start with the tithe, but then continue to increase our giving. Because Jesus Christ, Who lives in us, gave Himself up for us. (See Colossians 1:27, Ephesians 5:2)
