His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 27:15

This morning’s verse talks about idols. 

Is there anything between ourselves and the Lord? Idols do not need to be carved images, but they can be anything that stands between the Lord and us. Unforgiveness and distractions that keep us from focusing solely on the Lord can be idols. The Lord wants our whole heart with single-mindedness. In this case, what is the Word of God that He has revealed to us for forgiveness and focus? We need the Word to set us free for single-mindedness. (See John 8:32)

Today, let us focus on the Lord through the Word of God because His Word sets us free to give our hearts solely to Him.
