His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 27:16

This morning’s verse talks about honoring our parents.

The Bible teaches that it is blessed to honor our parents. However, it is one of the areas where we see one of the most conflicts in relationships. What are the areas we need to grow so that we can better honor our parents? His mercy and endurance may be required in the situation we are in now in order to build a parent-honoring relationship. (See Luke 6:36, James 1:2-4)

Today, let us remember that we are not relating with perfect parents who behave flawlessly, but the Lord is pleased when we honor them. It may not be an easy relationship that may require a lifetime of endurance and mercy.
