His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 27:25

This morning’s verse talks about selfishness. 

Specifically, this morning’s verse talks about bribery at the expense of human life. We may not be doing this practically speaking, but we can take a similar path of selfishness for personal gain. Are there any areas in our lives where we are prioritizing personal interest over others’ interests? Even practically speaking, it requires more effort to strive to earn our own interest than to simply serve a need in others. Protecting or gaining assets requires more effort than finding someone who may need our capital to serve their needs. 

Today, what are the needs that have already surfaced that we can serve to meet? As the Scripture says, it is more blessed to give than to receive. (See Acts 20:35)
