This morning’s verses talk about thankfulness to the Lord.
Are we thankful (See 1 Thessalonians 5:18) and content (See 1 Timothy 6:6) with what the Lord has blessed us with? He works through people (See Luke 6:46), but the offenses we receive from people sometimes shift our focus away from what we are receiving through them. (See Proverbs 19:11) What is the key to a breakthrough if we know that this is the case?
Intentionality. It is to choose to follow His path. (See Colossians 3:23) Spiritual growth, which is prosperity, is not easy. We need to intentionally choose to grow in areas where we would like to grow. Overlooking offense, choosing to give thanks, and trusting others’ good motives (See 1 Corinthians 13:7) do not come by emotions but by intentional choices of action.
Today, whatever the situation we are in, let us choose to intentionally find ways to give thanks to people around us, and actually give thanks.
May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
