His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 31:24-29

This morning’s verses talk about sowing the seeds of faith into the next generation.

How have we approached sowing seeds of faith into the next generation? One of the ways to do this is to lead by example. (See 1 Timothy 4:12:) What areas are we working on to become more like Christ in character? (See 2 Corinthians 3:18) If people around us see Christ in our character, they will be influenced and become likewise. (See Proverbs 27:17) We may not have the wealth, status, fame like some of the faith giants in the Bible had, but we can all choose to grow in character to become more and more like Christ each day, influencing people around us. What we may be missing is our fight of faith(See 1 Timothy 6:12) to become more like Christ in character, in speech, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. We will not take with us what is tangible but will take what is intangible. (See 1 Timothy 6:7)

Today, what areas can we choose to work on to become more like Christ in character, because when we choose to grow, people around us will be influenced and will carry on the legacy of faith into the next generation.
