His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 4:41-43

This morning's verses talk about our refuge. Where do we go to daily for our spiritual guidance?

Have we ever felt like we said or did something we shouldn't have, feeling ashamed of ourselves? This is perhaps because we want others to see us in certain ways, borne out of insecurity.  We need the Lord to battle and resolve these emotional issues. The Scriptures teach us that we are a spirit being with a soul clothed in a body. (Ref John 4:24, 1 Thessalonians 5:23) Our spirit is our true self. We are a new creation in Christ (Ref 2 Corinthians 5:17) in the spirit that ceases to change. (Ref Hebrews 13:8) 

Today, let us continue to seek Him first as our refuge. Our security comes from Christ.
