His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 5:1-6

This morning's verses talk about the stages of our walk with the Lord.

When the Lord brought the Israelis out of Egypt, there were no physical battles like the ones they would later experience in the promised land. They were being led out of slavery into salvation, which was literally our salvation from death through our faith in Christ in the New Testament days. They were not ready to take on battles. The more mature we become in our faith, in our walk with Christ, the greater the challenges will be. What challenges has He released into our lives today? He will not give us more than what we are able to handle. (Ref 1 Corinthians 10:13)

Today, let us assess where we are through what we are facing. He wants to take us to greater stages in our walk with the Lord.
