This morning’s verses talk about the rest we can receive in the Lord.
The bible teaches us that for those who believe can enter into His rest. (Ref Hebrews 4:3) What areas of our lives have we been restless because of our unbelief? We may not be aware of our unbelief but let us start by understanding what areas we are restless.
Are we frustrated because our mind is not focused, at peace, at rest? Do we feel like we can do nothing about the habitual words of frustrations that come out of our mouths? Are there any areas in our body appearances that we do not like that are making us mad?
God can give us rest in these situations through our belief in His Word. But it is important that we continue to seek His Word for transformation, breakthroughs in our mind, and emotions. (Ref Matthew 7:7-8) There could be one single Word that can deal with multiple issues at once. We can place a demand on the Word for release and freedom. (Ref John 8:32) For example, the Word, “God is Spirit” (Ref John 4:24) can release us from our frustrations we feel about the state of our mind, and all of the madness about negative habits and appearances, to our identity that we are a spirit being made in the image of God. Because we are spirit beings with a soul clothed in a body, our growing souls and bodies can sometimes interfere with the perfect spirit we have in Christ. (Ref 1 Thessalonians 5:23) We are a new creation in the spirit realm receiving His spirit. (Ref 2 Corinthians 5:17) We are like Christ. (Ref 1 John 4:17) These chains to ungodly negativities can be broken and fall off from the spiritual identities we have in Christ. We can be truly set free from inside out.
Today, let us seek His Word for freedom, and rest.
May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
