His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 11:13-17

This morning’s verses talk about our hearts for the Lord. 

As in the days of Deuteronomy, we no longer need to strive for the blessings as we have already received them. (Ref Ephesians 1:3) Because we have already received them in the spirit, everything starts from the spirit, soul, then onto body. (Ref 1 Thessalonians 5:23) Our hearts for the Lord are through faith and rest. (Ref Hebrews 4:3)

For example, we are created in His image (Ref Genesis 1:27) and are like Christ. (Ref 1 John 4:17) Our mind, will and emotions may not understand this truth feeling uncomfortable but it is important that we press on and continue to confess this truth. (Ref Proverbs 18:21)

Today, let us rest in His promise through faith.
