His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 24:19-20

This morning’s verses continue to talk about mercy and generosity to those who are in need.

One of the ways to be a blessing is to give generously. Essentially, we give ourselves for the benefit of others, which is the reason why we don’t claim the leftovers, etc. Additionally, there is a blessing from the Lord in all that we undertake. 

Today, let us choose to be generous, especially to those in need. We may not feel comfortable going the extra mile, but stretching ourselves to serve others leads to freedom from bondage to self-centeredness.
