Essentially, we give ourselves for the benefit of others, which is the reason why we don’t claim the leftovers, etc. Additionally, there is a blessing from the Lord in all that we undertake.  Today, let us choose to be generous, especially to those in need. We may not feel comfortable going the extra mile, but stretching ourselves

This morning’s verses talk about showing mercy towards the vulnerable.  We may have treated everyone the same way in the name of fairness, but this section teaches us that we need to show compassion specifically towards those who are in a difficult situation.  Today, let us seek His guidance so that we pay special care to those who need compassion because we were also once lost, but now we are found out of His mercy towards us. This morning’s verses talk about mercy towards the weak who have less power than us in this world.  These Scriptures this morning use mercy towards animals as an example. How we treat animals who are under the authority of human beings (Ref Genesis 1:26) reveals how we treat those under our care. Today, let us assess how we treat animals in this world. Animals may not have life eternally but the Lord tests our maturity in the area of mercy through how we interact with them.
