His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 25:4

This morning’s verse talks about honoring the benefits of the labor. 

In the world today, workers in the marketplace are compensated for their work. However, the question rises if those in full time ministry are because the Scriptures teach the Body of Christ to support those who are in the ministry of teaching and preaching. However, Paul did not use this right because he thought that this may hinder the spread of the Gospel. What are the things that we are doing that may hinder the spread of the Gospel, because we may be caught up in our personal rights? (See 1 Timothy 5:17-18, 1 Corinthians 9:8-14) 

Today, let us continue to enjoy the rights and even claim the benefits of our labor. However, most importantly, we need to look around and see how our choices are affecting the advancement of the Gospel. This is when His mercy and endurance are required. (See Matthew 15:30, James 1:2-4)
