This morning’s verses talk about our fear and honor with reverence towards the Lord.
The Lord’s will is to bless us, multiply and prosper, possessing what He plans for us. But how is our heart towards the Lord?
Because there is so much temptation to compromise in this world today, the key is to be intentional about serving, honoring, and fearing the Lord. (See Colossians 3:23) He is commanding us to consider our trials joy, and our faith in the Lord will be tested, but this process produces endurance. (See James 1:2-4)
Therefore, we must intentionally choose to focus (See Philippians 3:13), overlook an offense (See Proverbs 19:11), see the good motives of others (See 1 Corinthians 13:7), see the positive side of others (See Philippians 4:8), and give thanks to others (See 1 Thessalonians 5:18), so that we can experience joy and develop endurance as our lives on this earth are a marathon, not a sprint.
Today, let us continue to be intentional about considering the trials we face each day, our joy. Because we will experience the joy that is needed to run through the marathon of life on this earth.
May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
