His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 28:16

This morning’s verse continues to talk about the consequences of disobedience.

Where is our focus? Are we focused on growth in terms of numbers, sizes of our ministry, business, etc., areas that are visible? Even if we gained the whole world through worldwide impact, what would that be to us if our soul, mind, will, and emotions were not growing? (See Matthew 16:26) Because the Word of God is focused more on character development, our obedience towards God should mainly be in areas of character. Even if we lost everything, would we still choose to do what is right that would honor the Lord? 

Today, let us choose to go through the discomfort, the pressure, the stretch of character growth through obedience to His Word. Because through obedience, His blessings will chase after us. (See Deuteronomy 28:1-2)
