His Word for Today: Book of Deuteronomy 30:15-20

This morning’s verses talk about the choices we make.

Do we choose life or death? We may all want to choose life, but what are our blind spots that are keeping us from experiencing life? This is one of the reasons why we need the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, Who teaches us all things. (See John 14:26)

We can choose to continue to grow each day and experience His life. We may have grown past what we have been working on, and a new opportunity to grow shows up to experience more of Him and become more like Christ. (See 2 Corinthians 3:18) We may have grown in focus and love, but fear may have shown up, which is keeping us from fully functioning as believers. The Scriptures teach about His protection. We are protected, and no weapon formed against us shall prosper. (See Isaiah 54:17) We can experience deeper rest. (See Hebrews 4:3)

Today, let us continue to choose life. We can choose to continue to grow and become more like Christ. What is holding us back from the next breakthrough? Character, though unseen, is what we take to heaven. (See 2 Corinthians 4:18)
